I was visiting some historic city, I don't know which one, but there were big stone pillars everywhere. I was with a group of people and it was getting close to dinner time so we all were walking across an open patio area when I looked up at the sky. The moon was to the left of us and slowly heading down, crossing the horizon right ahead. Except it wasn't 'real life slow' but more like something that would happen in a cartoon. Then the moon started coming up again to the right of us, and everyone turned and looked because this was a weird thing. It started going straight up into the sky and slowing down towards the end of it's descent like it was about to drop.
Which it did! The moon shot back down below the horizon like it was a pendulum. By this time everyone was freaking out because it felt like the planet was being suddenly flung through space and the gravity was playing havoc with our bodies. We turned around and saw the moon now 180 degrees behind where it was less than a few seconds ago and suddenly all the stars burned into the sky behind it. (The sky wasn't completely black it was dark dark blue at the top and still daylight near the horizon). The moon started to rotate and the starts rotated along with it as if the moon was controlling the heavens and it had gone temporarily insane. At this point we're all thinking 'Holy God this is the end of the world' and fearing with absolute dread every single new position the moon was taking. To be honest though, even know I was aware of this terror, it was kind of exhilarating and fun rather than truly scary. Still, all the excitement caused me to wake up. Immediately I wrote this blog.
Maybe I was not in another city but actually another planet.
